SHS ID CARD  All students and staff are expected to visibly wear their SHS ID ca rd while at school throughout the entire day including lunch time . The district’s goal of a Culture of Safety supports this student and staff expectation as clearly visible SHS ID allows for quick and easy recognition of students and staff during school hours. All students are provided one free school ID and one free school lanyard. Replacement ID cards are available, please go to finance window to purchase a replacement Id for $5 and lanyards for $1.   ATTN: STUDENTS  You need to follow the district’s dress code policy at all times! No revealing clothing, straps must be wider than 2 inches, shorts must be mid-thigh, no holey pants, no oversized clothing, no gang related clothing, no extreme hair colors or haircuts. Mrs. Sanikian and the entire administration team will be strictly enforcing our dress code policy. A violation of dress code policy will result in Saturday School.  ALL STUDENTS The Air National Guard Recruiter will be on campus today from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you would like to talk to the recruiter please see Mr. Reyna in the Counseling Center.  Students interested in the PSAT need to go to the Finance Window during lunch or after school to pay the $15.00 fee. Juniors who receive free/reduced lunch do not have to pay for the PSAT and can see Mr. Reyna in the Counseling Center during lunch or after school. SAT/ACT FEE Seniors if you need a fee waiver for the SAT or ACT Isaac Reyna in the counseling office willWAIVER   be issuing them. Remember if you are going to apply to a 4 year college or university you

MUST have your SAT/ACT taken by December 2015. Don’t wait until the last minute to registerfor your test.

CALLING ALL ACTORS

CALLING ALL ACTOR This year, we are offering two chances to perform upon the stage. The Theatre Productions Club is holding auditions for The Curious Savage , an old fashioned comedy about a womanand her inheritance. Mrs. Savage has to decide how to spend her newly found money, buther only options are to give the money to her disliked step children or her new friends froman “institution.” Auditions will be October 1st, in room 1502 after school at 3:40. Audition

materials will be ready today. 

FRESNO STATE The Fresno State Ambassador will start coming to Selma High School every Wednesday. Ifyou have any questions regarding Fresno State please sign up in the Student Office.

LIBRARY   The library will be closed during lunch today because of CELDT testing.

 ALL STUDENTS SHS students are encouraged to check their student emails once a week. If possible, pleaseconnect your smartphone to your emails by downloading the Gmail app. The LearningDirectors will be communicating with you via emails as well as the Guidance OutreachSpecialist regarding higher education.

KEY CLUB  Meeting TODAY @ 12:05-1:10, Room 1508. Bring your lunch! Even if you can't staythe entire meeting, you need to stop by to pick up information for the Blackbeard's trip and

the Haunted House project! Are you curious about Key Club and what we're doing? You canstill join! Field trip money ($30), permission slips for Blackbeard's, and all Sticker Pull

fundraising money are due Friday, Oct. 2nd!

6 WEEK GRADES  Sixth weeks grades are this Friday. Make sure all of your assignments are turned in anduse tutorial time to make up missing assignments and tests. You can do it!

FFF CLUB  FFF Food fashion Fun Club meeting TODAY in room 705 @ 12:45. Continue planning foractivities for this fall. See you there! Meeting next Wednesday for signups for communityservice at the Animal Shelter in Selma.

FRESNO FAIR 4.0 Students attending the 4.0 & Program on Wednesday, October 7th: Permission slips are dueMonday, October 5th at 5 p.m. to Mr. Reyna or Ms. Vasquez in the counseling center. Bussign-ups are in the student office.

GIRLS SOCCER  All interested girl soccer players, I have two handouts for you. Come by Room 1006 at break,lunch or afterschool to pick them up. They are about try-outs and a 5 week workout. 

 AFTER SCHOOL Come join the Mutts Program and be part of a program that will benefit you and the SecondPROGRAM  Chance Animal Shelter here in Selma! You’ll work with Mrs. Chambless and other volunteers

who will provide care to many dogs. For more information come & talk to Naomi Garcia afterschool in room 907A. You will also receive a free ASP t-shirt when you join the program.

The After School Program is sponsoring the 12th Annual Student Scout Island AdventureChallenge Race! This Obstacle Racing will be on Saturday, October 17 2015 Are you ready tobe part of the revolution? Come sign up with your friends and get your team physically andmentally prepared for the challenge. Each team is composed of 2 male and 2 female.

 ALL STUDENTS  Show how you feel about your favorite teacher. Vote for that teacher who deserves to beTEACHER OF THE WEEK! Ballots are available in the Student Office! The winner will be theTeacher of the Week next week! 

CELL PHONES & Please be respectful of the NO cell phone & IPOD rule from 8 AM – 3:30 PM. If your cell IPODS phone is confiscated; A Parent/guardian must come to Selma High to pick up the item. No

excuses. Please be respectful of the Selma High School Rules.

SCHOOL RULES  All school rules will be enforced effective beginning the first day of school (Dress code,No gum, No profanity, No harassment, No cell phones and No inappropriate material).

 All students must have their student ID’s with them while on campus or at anyschool activity.

Students are reminded that the Selma Unified Dress Code applies to all after school eventsthroughout the year. Students will not be admitted if violating the district dress code.
