They had their own dressing room and were able to use this to change into their Oak Lodge t-shirts as well as eat their supper. We had a chance for a short rehearsal of our performance. Everyone was really excited! Although Siobhan was very nervous as she was performing a duet with Miss McNabb for Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” and this would be her first performance singing to a large audience and using a microphone! Once we were shown to our seats to wait our turn to perform, we had to wait for over half an hour because the video camera had broken and another one was couriered over for the event. We were treated to an “adlib” drumming performance which was great. The group took the stage and their places. Ojinika was very excited and waved upstairs to her mum! We performed Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” with Miss McNabb and Siobhan performing their duet and then a lively rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog!” When the group had taken the final bow, the audience gave them a huge round of applause! When we left the stage and returned to the dressing room, the whole group were so excited about what they had done and Siobhan said that it was great and that she wanted to do it again!
