Dismantling the Front Assembly1. Place the Subwoofer Box upside
down and use a screw
driver (minus type) to force open the front assembly from
the rear as shown in the picture 1.
2. To service/replace the rotary potmeter on the front, the
Port Edge (pos. 6) which is glued to the Front Cabinet
(pos. 2) must be forced open.
Caution: Do not break the bundle of wires to the front.
Dismantling the Rear Assembly1. Unscrew 10 screws A (see picture
3) to pull out the pc
board assembly. The assembly cannot be fully pulled out
until the connector plug from the rotary potmeter is
unplugged.
Caution: Do not break the bundle of wires to the front .
Hint: Simulate the action of the rotary potmeter with
2 resistors as potential divider between pins 1
to 3 of connector CN401 during servicing.
Dismantling the Subwoofer speaker1. Loosen the Speaker Grille
(pos. 29) as shown in the
picture 2.
2. Unscrew 4 screws B (see picture 3) and disconnect the
speaker terminals to remove the Subwoofer speaker.
