He says, “Be still, and

know that I am God …”

Hezekiah in time of trouble – Psalm 46

• Psalm 46:10-11• 10 He says, “Be still,

and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth.”

• 11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (NIV)

Psalm 46 tells us that in 2014:• Trouble will strike the

godly• God is sufficient to get

you through

• The Lord is our refuge• The Lord is our

strength• The Lord is our

fortress• The Lord is our help in

times of trouble

No problem, whether

emotional, physical, or

spiritual, is too big for our God.

In 2014 the Lord says “be still …”• It doesn’t mean to sit.• It means to still the

– The mind, – The eyes, as well as,– The tongue.

• It means – to relax, – to let things go, – to abandon, – to withdraw, – to refrain.

Listen to the still small voice of God!

Today’s Message• We have sought the

face of the Lord for the past 2 weeks

• We are ready to face 2014

• We should realise that all we have done is to position ourselves to receive the amazing grace of God.

• What more can we do to get this great gift?

your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (ESV)
