Reading Heroes Challenge reading incentive program launched. Students developed 3 reading goals for themselves to achieve by October 8 th . Program Highlights Mr. Plemmons named one of the top 3 finalists for the Clarke County School
District teacher of the year.

Collaborative Center Lessons were done with 2nd grade on Regions of GA, 4th

Ms. Hicks and Ms. Saxon’s 2nd grade students began a graphic novel study that
kicked off in the media center and was supported by a guest speaker visit from
Chuck Cunningham, Assistant Principal at Colham Ferry Elementary and a local
cartoonist.
The media center enrichment cluster, Leader Librarians, began where a group of 12
students decided to survey the entire school on reading interests and use part of the
media center budget for buying student-chosen books.
