Why have a conference in Scotland?
The annual Scottish Conference has been going
for 5 years now and continues to see a good
turnout – not just from APM members in
Scotland but also from further afield
Project leadership is a topic close to the hearts
of those in the Scotland branch committee and
they want to share their enthusiasm for this
Scottish Conference 2015 Objectives
Achieve higher attendance at #APMScotconf15 than the
previous year so as to reach a wider audience
Share the message of ‘delivering the dream’ with
Scotland branch members, APM members from
elsewhere in the UK and anyone who wishes to learn
more about successful project leadership
Provide a forum for sharing the knowledge and
experience of project, programme and portfolios
managers from a wide range of sectors and with a wide-
ranging impact
Scottish Conference 2015: plan for the day
Our annual conference comprises a variety of speaker-
led breakout session and workshops, inspiring plenary
session speakers, all in an easy-to-reach, Edinburgh
location
Learn and network with others who are passionate about
success through good leadership for projects,
programmes and portfolios
Enjoy a tour of the stadium – the home of Scottish rugby
Network at the conference dinner in the evening

Scott Hastings
Rugby World Cup
Scott is Scottish Rugby’s most capped centre three quarter and has played in 51 Internationals. Ever present in the Scotland team for a period of 11 years he has played in ten of Scotland’s fourteen World Cup games. Now Scott has moved to the other side of the try line and will re-join ITV for their coverage of the Rugby World Cup in September 2015.

Replacement Crossing
Lawrence will focus on the journey as project manager to deliver the new bridge across the Firth of Forth.

PMO: Supporting and
enabling project success
Tracy has over 25 years of project management experience in the IT sector – she’ll be looking at leadership of a number of PMOs as they are amalgamated in to one enterprise office for CGI Justice.

High flying technology
Greg will focus on the Agile development team which he is part of that spans 7 countries and counting, providing new products and features to 42 million regular users.

As Chief Executive of CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) Maria has spent the last 5 years leading the organisation’s new strategic plan as well as introducing progressive policies in key areas within the organisation.

Project management
behind the ramparts
Rupert is currently preparing for his fourth season as event manager at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – covering planning, operational management and stakeholder engagement, Rupert will explain how this annual event includes a complex programme of diverse projects which require strong leadership.
