Junior Course information

• Juniors must be a minimum of 13 years old. All students aged 13-15 years must be booked on a Junior Course.

• Lunch and single and return transfers are compulsory.

• Students aged 16 years old can be booked onto a Junior Course but they will be subject to the same supervision and curfew rules as other juniors.

• In exceptional circumstances we may accept 17 year olds on junior courses if they are part of junior groups.

• Any 16-17 year olds who want to change from a junior course to an adult course must have the written permission of their parents and the course change can only be authorised by the School Director.

Junior Course information

• A Junior Course consists of 20

lessons per week. These are

timetabled in the morning and

afternoon (No iLabs or SPINS.)

• Junior intensive – please check

availability

• Accommodation available in homestay twin room or residence (please see residence information on globalnet.)

• Internet access, free access to Efekta ilab and progress tracker.

• Course certificate and EFCELT report.

EF Discovery City Pack

•This is an excursion to London (with

a Thames river cruise) and an

excursion to Salisbury and

Stonehenge

•Includes walking tour taking in all the

main sights.

15.40If juniors don’t want to return to host family or residence immediately they are allowed free time eg to walk to local shops, or play sports with friends.

In summer there is often an EF activity at 4pm such as beach volleyball.

Optional evening activity begins:

Free; EF Discos, Sports, Games, Film Night

£3 - £10 per activity; e.g. Cinema, Pottery, Salsa, Paintball etc.

Students not on an evening activity are supervised by their host family or residence staff. They must ask for permission if they want to go out

unsupervised e.g. to see an early film at the cinema, walk to local shops or play sports with friends.

22.00 CURFEW TIME. Students must be back at their Host Family or Residence.

Example of a junior schedule

Saturdays

• Attendance of an excursion or activity is compulsory. Students with an empty schedule can buy an excursion in the activities office or alternatively join a supervised EF activity in Bournemouth.

Sundays

• If students do not have a pre-booked excursion they can buy one in the activities office. Alternatively they can have a free day in Bournemouth with their host family or residence supervisor. If students want to go out unsupervised they must ask for permission and give details of where they are going and with whom.

Buses every 5 minutes. � Weekly bus ticket £12.� 5 minutes walk to the park, 10 minutes walk to beach.
