MESSAGE

Who’s not in search for a deeper meaning in life? When one stops searching, one ceases to grow spiritually.

Today, more than ever, one needs to always look for models – for inspiration. No mat-ter who that is, as long as it leads one to real joy and happiness, one is in the right direction.

The Holy Child Jesus teaches us what it takes to be what we are and will be – to be real! What could be more real but being free from corruption, dishonesty, exploita-tion and all forms of sinfulness. And what would be more real but loving and caring for the people around us and loving our country. And what could be more real but taking responsibility for others – no matter what their belief and cultures are.

The Holy Child Jesus is so simple a child but His simplicity mirrors a challenge for a greater spiritual growth to each and every-one of us. Let’s do it. Now.

Reverend Father Laure T. Helar, DCI

O Mother Mary, please

bless, protect and defend this house, make it as your property especially those who live and dwell here. PRAYER TOSEÑOR SANTO NIÑO(Source: Original Novena Prayer of Santo Nino de Cebu)

Oh Señor Santo Nino, you are our king and our God, we worship you, you are our strong defender, we turn to you. You have made extraordinary wonders through your miraculous image in these chosen islands. Remember us. Look down at these poor souls who come to you for help, lead us with your wisdom, discipline us with your truth, console us with your tenderness, protect us with your might. We consecrate today our thoughts to you, only of you shall they be occupied, our words, only of you shall they speak, our sufferings, that we may endure them for your sake. We beg you Señor Santo Nino, illumine our understanding, kindle our will, cleanse our body and sanctify our soul. We wish what you wish because you wish as You wish, as long as you wish. Grant us Señor Santo Nino that we may feel love towards you,

be strict towards ourselves, be zealous towards our fellowmen and rightly despise the things of the world. Help us to overcome sensuality with strict discipline, avariciousness with generosity, anger with gentleness, and indo-lence with zealous industry. Make us wise in counsel, courageous in danger, patient in adversity, humble in prosperity. Teach us dear Santo Nino, how worthless is the world, how sublime is heaven, how brief is time and how long is eternity. Grant us lastly, that we may remember you, adore you, love you and serve you here on earth and that we may be happy with you, forever and ever in heaven, Amen.

We believe dear Mother of God, that you are extremely kind and gen-erous to all your loving and de-voted children. We plead with you dear Mother, to obtain for us the help, which we urgently need, we are trying so earnestly to solve our problems, but we believe in your powerful intercession with the Lord Jesus Christ, your Son and our Redeemer, Amen.

Prayer to Señor Santo NiñoFor The Sanctification of Families

Divine Child, give all married couples a holy disposition in the raising of their children. Help them to be models of their faith so that their children will learn from their good example.

I pray that all homes be a place where children are showered with love, understanding and guidance, but most especially, that their homes not be a house, but a place of refuge where they find shelter and refuge in the loving arms of their parents and that their home may foster the practice of the virtues.

Glorious Son of Mary Immaculate, while providing for all the basic needs of their families, may all parents never forget that love is of ut-most importance and that such as the body needs nourishment to stay healthy and alive the soul and spiritual life need nourishment as well. While taking care of our bodies, the Temple of the Holy Spirit, may we not neglect that Who lives within our souls.

Dearest Señor Santo Niño, please make our home Your home. Be that invisible yet ever present guest around our table during our meals so that no conversation displeases You. Come and lay Your little head upon our pillows and keep us all safe until the morning comes. Walk with us throughout the day and may Your little feet bless our home and make it holy. May our home be a place of refuge for all who enter.

As for my immediate family, I ask that you bestow on them the follow-ing graces [mention graces]. I place within Your heart the following needs of my family [here make your personal petition]. I am confident Señor Santo Niño, that You hear my plea of supplication and that You will grant my petitions if it is in line with the Lord’s desire for our sal-vation.

Impart all blessings and graces on each member of my family. May each member of my household learn to imitate the Holy Family of Nazareth so that they may come to know the wonder of praising You and contemplating You for all eternity. Amen.
