SAIL SHACKLES A sail shackle secures around the bail of a sail slug or slide. It is used to attach the slug or slide to the sail. Most sail shackles are used with a grommet installed along the edge of the sail. Attaching your slug or slide with a sail shackle and a grommet is the strongest and most common attachment method.
