A small workshop set up in Olot (Spain) in 1916 was the start of what today, 100 years later, the Simon group: a family business which has grown over four generations thanks to the hard work and tenacity of thousands .
Bioaccez is an specialist in RFID (radio fre-quency identification) and Software. One of the successful applications of both technologies in the Tunneling & Mining world is the tracking staff for improving safety of the workers. In case of mines the raising of the productivi-ty is also a must. A tracking system provides invaluable information to tunneling managers or mining officials in the event of an emergen-cy, and allows them to react in a more efficient and timely manner. Knowing the location of personnel during an emergency, allows mine officials to better manage the situation.
The system is based on readers and antennas detecting tags. The receivers are integrated into the mine's IT system, or into a new system based in WiMax for instance. The controllers are placed at strategic places at mine entries and underground to monitor the tag move-ments within zones, then the tracking infor-mation is displayed over a mine plan, or map, showing where people are. Bioaccez presents two different solutions to do that: the Transeo-Plus or the Secure-Loc soft-ware.

SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
From the versatile Transeo-Plus to the sophisticated java powered Secure-Loc software to control rfid tags in tunnel.
Transeo-Plus controls the access into mines and tunnels or industrial sites. It works as On-line software but also Off-line, the settings are memorized into the controllers and the software connects with it as a pull system, so it's not necessary a continuous connec-tion with the computer. The software, appart from the standard features of time-zones, calendars, groups of users and badge-holders control, allows to declare "alarm" badges. And special section allows visitors control, with ex-pected dates of visit and limited validi-ty. A Graphic interface allows to import BMP or JPG maps, and to place reader icons over the map. Optional features are the interfacing withh CCTV systems (analog or IP cameras) and Intrusion systems.
The Secure-Loc software indicates the position zone where a worker has been detected. The definition of the detection zones is made with the help of antennas and ethernet controllers that work in online mode. The Secure-Loc is an Online only software, thus the communication of the network must be secured.The software, appart from the standard features of time-zones, calen-dars, groups of users and badge-hol-ders control, allows to declare "alarm" badges that cannot be present in some zones, sending an alarm via Email or optional SMS modem. A Graphic in-terface shows the zones and alerts in a map on screen.The software has a section for making listings, reports, and statistics form it's database.This soft-ware is web access and the database is Oracle.
