Friendship Wagon Train Stops in West Albany The Friendship Wagon Train is a fundraising event organized for over 30 years in S.E. Minnesota annually by Monica and John Davis of Byron. The route varies with this year's journey starting in Lake City and ending in Preston (100 miles) The event is a journey of fun, friendship and fundraising for Special Olympics of MN. Many participate every year and this year they came from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Louisiana as well as locally. Funds are raised through donations and the sale of T shirts. As the train passes through the area, local organizations help by serving meals on their stops. St. Patrick's CCW served them dinner at the hall on Saturday evening June 26, while the train was stopped at Spring Creek. It was an enjoyable event! Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey!
