Which programs are most popular in the Fashion Industry?

- Both of these programs offer focus on design 3d, prototyping, pattern making, size grading, nesting of the pattern pieces to minimize use of materials, and use of textile cutting machines.

• Lectra has been involved in the fashion world for over thirty years.

• The company was created by Jean and Bernard Etcheparre in 1973. Their first pattern-making and grading system was sold in 1976.

• Lectra is the world leader in CAD for apparel industry.

• Clients include: Benetton, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Fruit of the Loom, Eddie Bauer, and Gucci.

• Gerber Technology was established in 1940. Joseph H. Gerber was the founder. In 1980 they started their machines used for mass apparel production.
