Night closes in earlier and earlier and is still dark when I get up. Soups and comfort foods will become more and more tempting. Thank you to Gloria and Kelsey who, together with friend Kim, helped me to cook sausages for the launch of Headspace on Thursday. The weather was kind and the launch was very special. This much needed service will support many of the young people in our community. Then that night members joined the Rotary Club of Hannans members at Beaten Track Brewery for a social evening. Most enjoyed tasting the locally brewed beers and pizza that Nick cooked for us. A reminder to incoming Directors and interested members that Goldfields Assembly is taking place in Esperance on Sunday 24 May. Please let Gloria know if you are attending so that all necessary arrangements can be made. At Monday’s meeting we will be planning for the Battle of the Brains Quiz Night. Some aspects of the night are already in place. The main assistance from all members is sourcing prizes for the night. There will be no Bulletin next week due to the public holiday for Anzac Day. This year sees us remember those brave young men and women who went half a world away to fight so we can enjoy the way of life we have. Lest We Forget. Enjoy the rest of your week as you Light up Rotary. From President Esther ... Rotary Club of Kalgoorlie meets at the Tower Hotel on Mondays at 6.00pm for 6.30pm. Visitors welcome! Well I think summer is well and truly behind us as we find the nights and days getting colder.

Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER
FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Quote of the Week “Real genuine friendship and the laws
governing friendships provide the truest
basis for all forms of enterprise. If Rotary can
materially contribute to the development of
friendship between individuals, business,
professions and nations, and if the individual
is willing to make friendship the basis of his
job or vocation, then we have an ideal of
service being applied in ways that should
make all of us happy.”
