Where the Love of God abounds, everyone is

welcome.

Romans 11 1 I say then, Hath God cast away His people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away His people which He foreknew.

There are people who think that God's CovenantGod's Covenant with the Jews is null and void;

They think His PromisesHis Promises to them have been cancelled.

Paul gave himself as the first prooffirst proof that God is still saving Israelites; Paul was an Israelite.

Seed of Abraham, Tribe of Benjamin

Most of the earliestearliest Christians were Jews.

They were in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost;

The disciplesdisciples (120 of them) were gathered together, and the Holy SpiritHoly Spirit came upon them and they preached in

every languageevery language.

Three thousandThree thousand were saved. were saved.

2b Wot ye not {don't you know} what the Scripture saith of Elias (Elijah)? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3 Lord, they have killed Thy prophets, and digged down Thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

Elijah had runrun for his life from JezebelJezebel.

He was discourageddiscouraged and depresseddepressed.

"Lord, I am the only one leftonly one left who loves You, and they're trying to kill mekill me."

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

When we arewe are discouraged, or depressed, or afraid, we always paint a false picturefalse picture of despair.

We have to believebelieve and trust Godtrust God to take care of us.

God is notnot hard of hearing, and His Arm is not shortnot short.

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnantremnant according to the election of grace.

We are not alonenot alone living for God.

He has sons and daughterssons and daughters all over the world.

That means we have brothers and sistersbrothers and sisters.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

So many people try to blendblend grace and works.

"Perhaps we get savedget saved by grace, but we have to work hardwork hard to keep salvation."

We do good works, notnot to bebe saved or to staystay saved,

But because we areare saved and lovelove the Lord.

7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded 8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

So manySo many are asleep, blindblind and deafdeaf to the spiritual things of God.spiritual things of God.

Their mindsminds are closed; their heartshearts are hard.

They can notcan not believe, because they will notwill not believe.

9 And David saith, Let their table (blessings) be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling-block, and a recompense unto them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always.

The blessings of God, which shouldshould have brought God's people always closercloser to God,

Had instead made them proudproud and unrepentantunrepentant.

11 I (Paul) say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

2 God hath not cast away His people which He foreknew.

Sometimes we don't know what we havewe have, untiluntil we lose it.

God's desireGod's desire is that His chosen people will seewill see what they have lostlost and return to Him.

Paul's heart's desireheart's desire was always to see his Jewish brothers and sisters saved.

Romans 10 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

We need to hungerhunger for (desire with great desiregreat desire)

The things of GodThe things of God..

I woke up Saturday morning crying outcrying out to God:

"Lord, I'm hungry!"

I had been dreaming of a move of Godmove of God in the church.

Passionate!

Joyful!

I want to see God move in our midst.

If youIf you are hungry for these things too, we need to draw neardraw near unto God.
