RESOLUTION by the Middle Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. on the passing of Robert “Lou” Brown Oh noble Kappa Alpha Psi, the pride of all our hearts. True manliness, fidelity, thou ever dost impart. For one who loved and toiled and strove for thee in other years, we bow our heads and show reverence to our Brother dear. Foreword This RESOLUTION has been authorized by the Board of Directors of the Middle Western Province as an expression of our sorrow and the universal sorrow of the Fraternity membership for the loss of Brother Robert “Lou” Brown. Whereas upon the call of the Creator of the Universe, our Brother Lou Brown has kept his date with destiny on May 18, 2016, and Whereas Brother Brown was born December 21, 1948, and Whereas he exemplified the Fraternity’s fundamental purpose of achievement in his chosen field of endeavor and throughout the fabric of his life, and Whereas Brother Brown was initiated into the bond of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity through the Tuscaloosa Alumni Chapter on November 3, 1973, and Whereas his service to the Langston Alumni Chapter was exemplary and profound, having served for many years as Chapter Keeper of Records, and Whereas Brother Brown became the eighth recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Middle West- ern Province in a ceremony at the 82nd Province Council on April 16, 2004, where he was lauded for his impeccable service as Province Delegate to the Grand Chapter Meeting, Province Representative to the Grand Chapter Nominating Committee, Investigative Protocol Officer for the Middle Western Province, Official Province Photographer, and Advisor to the Langston University Chapter, the Al- pha Pi of Kappa Alpha Psi, and Whereas he demonstrated his continuing faith and belief in the future of the Fraternity by becoming a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi in 1983 (#4647), and Whereas his life of service to Kappa Alpha Psi and to mankind is worthy of high praise, therefore, Be It Resolved that we mourn not the passing of our Brother, but bow our heads in humble thanks for the life that was his and the service he gave, and Be It Further Resolved that our expression of love and appreciation for this loyal and dedicated Kappa shall never be forgotten, and Be It Finally Resolved that a copy of this Resolution be filed with the Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and a copy given to his beloved family, expressive of the love of his Brothers and the esteem in which he was held by them for his manifold contributions and fellowship.
