MercuryhasenabledUniversityofKansasstafftoovercomeoneofthebiggestchallengestheyfacedeverysemester– processingpaperwork.
1. OneofUniversityofKansasstaff ’sbiggestinitiativeswastoupdatetheironlinesubmissionofhousingcancellationsanddiningchangerequests.
2. Anaddedbonusofmovingmanyoftheirprocessesonlinewasadecreaseoftimeforstaffmembersinprocessingtheserequests,aswellasanenvironmentalbenefitwithavastreduction inpapersemesterover semester.

ImplementationProcessSandyRobisonsaidthattheupgradetoMercurywasverywellreceivedbybystaffandstudents.Sandy’simplementationplanwascarefullydesignedtomakethetransitionseamlessandeasyforeveryone.
1. First,Sandywroteaproposal thatwassubmittedtotheUniversityofKansas’ITboard(KUIT).Shemadethecaseforupgradewiththeirlongstandingserviceprovider inorder toreapthebenefitsofincreasedcustomizationandreducedpaper.
2. Shethencreatedaproject teamthatcollectivelyidentifiedtheresourcesshewouldneed forasmoothtransitionandplansthetimelineforacompleterolloutforSpring2013.Sandywashappy tohavethetechsupport ofRMSbehindherasthe implementationinitiallyrolledout.
