California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE)
In California, all high school students must pass a test to earn a high school diploma. The test is called the CAHSEE.
The test has two parts: ● English-Language Arts ● Mathematics
● Students will first take the test in the Spring of 10th grade
● If you don’t pass the test in 10th grade, you have two chances to take it and pass it in 11th grade.
● If you don’t pass the test in 11th grade, you have up to five times to take the test in 12th grade.

Generally, admission requirements at nonprofit, independent colleges and universities fall into four categories:
• (1) schools with admission requirements similar to the University of California;
• (2) schools with admission requirements similar to the California State University system;

• (4) schools with very specific requirements, in addition to a well-rounded curriculum, related to their specialty - for example, in the visual or performing arts.
