If you have a concern, need help with a problem, or want to help us, please contact me: 07770 280322 [email protected] Richard Walsh Your local County Council Candidate for Laleham, Shepperton and Charlton Village Putting You & Spelthorne First My Six Point Plan If elected to another term I pledge to: Fight the gravel application at Watersplash Farm, Gaston Bridge Road and stop the 300 HGV gravel lorries coming to and from the roundabout at the end of Green Lane on a daily basis. After the bus company withdrew their services we have been able to reinstate nearly all the routes within our area. I will be working with the County Council to improve the service and sort out any problems when the contracts come up for renewal later this year. To keep Green Belt land in the area, using only brown field sites for any development. We have been improving roads and pavements and tackling a number of drainage problems which have caused flooding. There is always more to do, including potholes, and I will be actively seeking to increase this work which is so important. I will continue to monitor the Eco-Park, which I have opposed for being too big for the site. Living locally I will ensure that the gasifier meets the highest safety and environmental standards that we all expect. I will continue to help and support the residents to keep Shepperton the sixth happiest place in England #SpelthorneFirst Promoted by Andrew Barrand on behalf of Richard Walsh both at 55 Cherry Orchard, Staines upon Thames, Surrey TW18 2DQ and printed by Vale Press Ltd, 6 Willersey Business Park, Broadway WR12 7RR About Richard Richard is a local family man having lived in Shepperton for over 36 years and is heavily involved in the community He is a member of Shepperton Residents Association, Laleham Residents Association, the local Rotary club, St. Nicholas Church and a Governor of Littleton C of E Infant School. I have been very privileged to have been your County Councillor for the last eight years and would be honoured to continue to serve you and the communities of Laleham, Shepperton and Charlton Village. Richard Walsh: A Proven Track Record Richard was a Spelthorne Borough Councillor for the Shepperton Green, Laleham and Charlton Village ward for 8 years At Surrey CC he is the Cabinet Member responsible for Localities and Community Wellbeing. Richard has worked with residents to support the communities and encouraged an environment to help shops and businesses to prosper, and keep facilities like the library, youth & children’s centres and support the Shepperton and Laleham Fairs and Big Tree Night. He has helped keep parking meters away from the High Street and maintained a good turnover of parking. Gravel companies are being monitored and I want to reduce the number of industrial sites as they are the main cause of HGVs on our local roads. I am the Chairman of the Spelthorne youth task group and I am very actively involved in the Shepperton Youth Centre and working with the police and youth services to prevent anti-social behaviour in the High Street and within our communities, which I will continue to do.
