Exam Week 2 – Tri 2 The end of trimester on res can often prompt large gatherings and celebrations. While we understand the importance of commemorating the end of exams, we would like to emphasise the importance of celebrating respectfully and taking responsibility for your actions. A number of serious incidents have occured this trimester including graffiti at BSV, oranges being thrown from high-rise windows at MB and the defecation incident in the male rec room toilets. These sorts of actions simply should not happen as they are not part of having fun and enjoying time with your friends. The culprits for all of these incidents have been found and these students are now dealing with the consequences and relevant charges. For this reason, if an incident is to unfortunately occur, it is always better to come forward and own up to Residences staff immediately. Incidents such as these can affect not only your place on res, but your place at the university if management choose to pursue the matter. We strongly advise to be respectful of one another, residences property and your own safety while celebrating the end of the year. Your official bulletin for all the latest resi news and events info! Exam Week 2– Tri 2
The end of trimester on res can often prompt large gatherings and
celebrations. While we understand the importance of commemorating the
end of exams, we would like to emphasise the importance of celebrating respectfully and taking responsibility for your actions.
A number of serious incidents have occured this trimester including graffiti
at BSV, oranges being thrown from high-rise windows at MB and the
defecation incident in the male rec room toilets. These sorts of actions
simply should not happen as they are not part of having fun and
enjoying time with your friends.
The culprits for all of these incidents have been
found and these students are now dealing with
the consequences and relevant charges.
For this reason, if an incident is to unfortunately
occur, it is always better to come forward and
own up to Residences staff immediately.
Incidents such as these can affect not only your place on res, but your
place at the university if management choose to pursue the matter.
We strongly advise to be respectful of one another, residences property and
your own safety while celebrating the end of the year.

The successful completion of the trimester is dependent on all residents
showing consideration and respect for each other.

do well in their exams.
Congratulations to Tayla Cameron for being the first to come to reception
and correctly identify how many of the Resi Office team (week-day and
week-end staff) are living or have lived on res at Burwood? (8: Jono, Jack,
Alex, Kate, Ash, Joh, Amy and John.)
To win a Hoyts movie voucher, please be the first to come to reception and

No matter when you plan on checking out, you MUST leave your
room/studio apartment in a clean and tidy state at the end of T2!
For those at BSV and the MB Shared Apartments, your RLs have created
cleaning rosters for check-out.
You will not only be responsible for
cleaning your bedroom, but
communal areas as well.
Everyone in BSV and MB Shared
Apartments will be
assigned a specific cleaning task, so
please see your RL as soon as possible
for details on cleaning
expectations.
If your room is left dirty or if you do not contribute to the cleaning of
common areas, charges will apply and an encumbrance will be placed on
your Deakin account. You will not be able to access your results or re-enrol
until the charges are paid!
Clean Up Before You Check Out!

We are still very keen to hear what your
plans are beyond T2!
If you haven’t already, please notify
reception ASAP if you are:
staying for T3 (Remember, you don’t
have to be studying!)
wishing to extend your stay for just a
few extra days/weeks/months
leaving earlier than November 3rd
This will assist us greatly with preparing rooms for incoming students.
