Drake – started from the bottomThe music video for the song was directed by Director x, the concept of the music video is like most rap songs which show the struggle then living large. The song was officially released on iTunes on February 6, 2013. At the 55th Grammy Awards which helped him distribute his songs and also advertise to a large audience. ITunes is a major distribution company for singers as it is the largest way a consumer can buy single tracks, these large profitable organizations help promote songs, because millions of people visit the site everyday to find new releases.

Birdman always strapped

Like drakes song, this video is also produced by director x, and uses the same video concept of a group of ‘gangsters’ who are showing off there assets. Like all major labels birdman also distributed his song through iTunes but also used his major record label ymcmb to help distribute this song as ymcmb is also a clothing line that is followed by millions. Like all major music originations ymcmb is a trend more then a label, this helps sell songs as people find it trendy.

Asap rocky – goldie

The music video, which was filmed mostly in Paris and France and directed by rocky himself, this was released on his Vevo channel on May 3, 2012. It features a major appearance by ASAP Worldwide co-founder ASAP Yams. Even though asap directed the video himself he has stuck to the same concept as all rap music with flashy cars and jewelry. Asap used smaller distribution companies to get his song out as he was not as well known as the other rappers during this song. Using sites like twitter and YouTube to advertise and digital downloads to distribute his music e.g. sound cloud.

Trinidad James – all gold everything

The music video was directed by motion family and premiered on MTV Jams on November 18, 2012. the video consists of showing off expensive products like all the other videos, the common aspect in all the videos is the idea of a group of friends who have made a lot of money hence why there showing off there expensive lifestyle. James used YouTube as a distributor for this song, James was not well known before this song hence why the only downloads available are consumer uploaded e.g. sound cloud and spotify, this soon led onto him getting signed by def jam.

Dj Khaled – Im on one

DJ Khaled shot the music video for his "I'm On One" single featuring Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne. The visual was directed by Gil Green, with birdman, ace hood, wale, gunplay and Mack Maine making cameos. The visual was shot in Miami in Drake's Condo House over Memorial Day Weekend, this visual is used in the same concept of all the other rap videos with expensive cars around and a big house to show there fancy living style. Unlike the other videos, this one uses a variety of different rappers in one video to get the viewers attention as this makes a bigger audience for advertisement. Bet was used in the video as advertisement and to show where to nominate the song for awards to the viewers, using large distribution companies such as iTunes and cd distribution to sell the song over 3 million copies where sold.
