What is Biofertilizer
Biofertilizers or Bio~inoculants popularly known as “TEEKA” are totally harmless, pollution free and low-cost renewable agricultural input, which are capable of fixing nitrogen, solubilising phosphorus, activating & mobilizing other plant nutrients and making available growth promoting substances ( Vitamines, auxims, and harmones ) for use of the growing plants.
Organizational Setup
• Under the National Project on Biofertiliser Development and Use, National Biofertiliser Development Centre (NDBC) at Ghaziabad and its six Regional (Biofertiliser Development) Centres (RBDS) were established and functioning as subordinate office of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation under the Administrative control of Fertiliser Division.
