She will be working for three days a week for the next few weeks. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for all the support I have received in the last few months as acting principal. Your support and encouragement has been appreciated. Please remember that I will still be available should you wish to talk with me. Review Leon Kildea will be in the school next week for four days. During the review, Leon will be talking to the staff, visiting classrooms, spending time in the yard and talking to groups of parents and students. The review gives the school an opportunity to look at the things we do well, areas we can improve on and help to plan for the future. School Council The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th has been postponed so that we can meet with the reviewer. A date has not yet been set. Cyber bullying A reminder that next week there will be a cyber bullying session for the students of years 4/5/6 next Wednesday and there will be an evening session for parents of every year level. Notes were sent out last week. Please let us know if you intend coming to the evening session to assist us with catering. St Francis parents have also been invited to attend. I have had further reports of students using social media sites for inappropriate communication. It is important to keep an eye on what sites or apps your children are using and help them make the best choices. Please report any bullying that you become aware of. We have been working with the students to remember to only say things on line that they are prepared to say to someone in person and if they don't like it being said to them then don't say it to someone else. Father's Day breakfast. We will be having a Father's Day breakfast on Friday 5th of September. Please add this date to your diaries. Notes will be going home next week.

CONGRATULATIONS
Koori Culture Ungraded Day
On Friday we are having an ungraded day
with a Koori Culture theme. We have Shane Charles
coming to talk with the children and then they will
be rotating around different activities for the rest of
the day. The children will be participating in art,
music, games and listening to stories.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
On Monday September 1st and Tuesday,
September 2nd we will be conducting Parent/
Teacher Interviews. It is important that you take 10
minutes to talk with the classroom teacher and
discuss your child’s education and how to support
them.
2 015 Enrolments
Enrolments are now being taken for Foundation
students for the year 2015.
To enable planning for grade structures for
2015 we request that parents return their
completed enrolment forms, along with a copy of
your child’s Birth Certificate and Immunisation
status, as soon as possible.
If you are aware of a family intending to
enrol, at our school, please let them know that
enrolments are now being taken. Enrolment forms
and school information can be collected from the
school office.
