2 Organized a three hour session with Human Library Hyderabad on 15th
June, 2019. The
event aimed to promote social and cultural sensitivity among students. Human Library
introduced eleven books to the students. They included diverse areas such as “Springs of
Life”, “Raising LGBTQ children”, “The Turn Coat- Atheism and Religion”, “My happy
size”, “Transgender woman”, “Don’t “Dis” My Abilities”, “Gender Conundrum -
Breaking the binary”, “Veganism”, “Alcoholics Anonymous”, among others. Human
library has been conducted in over 70 countries across the world. Human Library is a
library of people, it replaces books with human beings. It is an international organisation
that aims to challenge prejudice against social contact among people. “The Human
Library is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge
stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. It is a place where real people are on loan to
readers. A place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered,”
explains Harshad Dinkar Fad, Founder of Human Library in Hyderabad.

The workshop on “Blooms Taxonomy for Quality Enhancement in Teaching-Learning &
Evaluation” was organized on 27th
July,2019.
Prof I. Ajit Kumar Reddy, Professor of Chemistry (Retd.), Research Fellow (Emeritus),
Teaching Learning Centre, National Institute of Technology, Warangal; was the Resource
person for the workshop.
85 Faculty members attended the workshop.
The Program began with the importance of Outcome Based Teaching-Learning and the
outcomes expected from students. The changing environment and growing complexity is
placing demands on the Competencies of students in terms of not just knowledge, but skills
and abilities.
He explained the Bloom’s Taxonomy and the various levels of learning. He extolled the need
to move up the ladder from just remembrance level to applicative and creation level. He
explained various techniques to develop these skills and abilities, such TWSP etc.
The afternoon session focused on how evaluation can be designed to achieve the higher levels
of learning. He stressed on the need to frame questions appropriate to the desired learning
outcomes. He also highlighted on the principles for framing good quality questions.
An exercise was conducted where departments were required to organize into round tables
and select on a topic in the subject area. The groups should then prepare a set of questions
based on the principles and specify the desired learning level intended. Each group was then
asked to present and suggestions for improvement were made.
The workshop has made a significant impact on Teachers in terms of the significance of
BLOOM’s Taxonomy and the learning Levels to be attained using various tools.

Higher Education” Sponsored by ICSSR-SRC and TSCHE on 6th

March 2020. The
Seminar began with the Inaugural, with Sri Jayesh Ranjan , IAS, Principal Secretary, Govt. of
Telangana, as the Chief Guest, Prof Limbadri, Vice Chairman, TSCHE and Prof. V. Usha Kiran,
Hon. Director, ICSSR-SRC as the Guests of Honour. 40 (Forty) Faculty Members from various
Institutions have attended the Seminar. 19(Nineteen) Papers were presented by the Faculty in the
Seminar. The Valedictory Program was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. T. Papi Reddy,

INAUGURAL
The Seminar began with the Inaugural, with Sri Jayesh Ranjan , IAS, Principal Secretary, Govt.
of Telangana, as the Chief Guest, Prof Limbadri, Vice Chairman, TSCHE and Prof. V.
Usha Kiran, Hon. Director, ICSSR-SRC as the Guests of Honour.
The Inaugural began with the tradition of Lighting the Lamp and Prayer Song. The Program was
presides by the Secretary cum Correspondent, Prof. G. Sudarshan Reddy. The Principal Dr. K.
Sarada, welcomed the guests and spoke about the college. The Program Convenor, Ms.
P.Vijaya, spoke about the Seminar.
40 (Forty) Faculty Members from various Institutions have attended the Seminar.
The Guest of Honour, Prof. V. Usha Kiran, Honorary Director, ICSSR-SRC, delivered the
message:
Spoke on the importance of the theme today in light of the emerging technologies, which
can be leveraged to achieve the goals of Higher Education.
Focused on Sustainable Development and SDGs, and the need for Higher Education to
work in the direction.
She highlighted on UNSD Goal IV and how ICT can help achieve the goal
She urged the use of innovations in higher education by exemplifying Chinese
initiatives
She concluded on the note that the Seminar outcome will help various Institutions in
enhancing quality.

Highlighted the Government initiatives ,both in the Centre & State
Spoke about DOST and TSCHE initiatives
Urged the use of Online Resources such as Swayam, NPTEL, etc.
The Chief Guest, Sri. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Govt. of Telangana delivered

Appreciated the well structured program and the Seminar theme, which is the Need of the
hour.
He recognized the commendable efforts of the College in its contribution to women‟s
education.
He spoke about Higher Education being still out of reach for many, and the need for
efforts in the direction of increasing GER.
