Cottrell’s THE ONE____________________________ Designed for classic summer/fall fishing and water flows. Fished best on a clear intermediate or slow sink-‐tip. This is a Go-‐To pattern.
Cottrell’s AQUA BUDDHA________________________ Designed for big, slow water. Fishes best on a heavy sink tip. Fish it as slow as you can.
Jack’s SUPER MUDDLERS________________________ To be fished with intermediate and heavier sink tips in the upper 3rd of the water column. Try stripping this fly with rod movement.
Cottrell’s AQUA BUDDHA IN A TUBE__________ This fly was designed for low summer and fall water conditions. Use this pattern in slow to medium-‐fast water with floating lines and up to type 3 sink-‐tips.

Jack’s KLICKITAT MUDDLERS_____________________ Designed primarily to be a waking surface pattern for summer run steelhead. These patterns can also be fished with riffle hitches which cause the flies to create visible wakes on the surface film as these flies are swung across current.
We suggest you fish it with a dry line; however, it can be fished with intermediate to heavy tips.
Cottrell’s OCTOBER BUDDHA__________________ This fly fishes best in the fall and late summer in low, clear water. Designed to be an emerging caddis. Fish this fly on a floating line or a clear intermediate tip.
Steelie Mike’s ROCKET MINNOWS_______________ A marabou steelhead swing pattern that maintains a large profile, contrast, and body without excess weight allowing the fly to be pulled out of the water easily and casted in touch-‐and-‐go applications. Best used with sustained anchor casting with skagit lines and is light enough for both Scandinavian and long-‐belly lines.
Use the green/red when the water is clear both during periods of low light and during the day. Use the purple/pink after a big rain when the water is clearing.
Steelie Mike’s SNOT ROCKET_______________ Marabou steelhead swing pattern that maintains a large profile, contrast, and body without excess weight allowing the fly to be pulled out of the water easily and casted in touch-‐and-‐go applications. Best used with sustained anchor casting with skagit lines and is light enough for both Scandinavian and long-‐belly lines.
Use the orange when fishing over fresh fish on the coast that have just been eating shrimp. The blue/black is a good all purpose standard for periods of low light, poor clarity, and when dredging deep runs.
Cottrell’s BUCKET BOUNCER________________ Fly designed to fish as close to the bottom as you can get it. Use a heavy sink-‐tip, T-‐11 or T-‐14 with a short leader 3-‐6 feet long. Fishes early summer or winter. Go deep!
Congo Gold: More fishermen are going dark for winter steelhead. A black fly with metallic blue highlights is as much a winter fly as a low water summer-‐run fly.

Trey’s SIGNATURE SERIES________________________ The flies in this 4-‐fly series have application for spring-‐run, summer-‐run and winter-‐run steelhead.
Firethorn: Fishes as a very effective dark summer-‐run steelhead pattern. Work it through tail-‐outs in low light with a sink tip from floating to sink rate #3.
Order #: iTC003-1.5, 03
The Bengal: The only “bright” fly in the Signature Series. Fish with a floating line for Canadian and interior U.S. summer-‐runs or sink the fly with a variety of tips, intermediate to fast sinking.
Order #: iTC004-1.5, 03
Blue Runner: Fish during any time of the year, but best for the summer-‐run steelhead.
Trey’s BULLET BUNNIES_______________________ Orange/Purple: An all-‐season fly and easily one of the best patterns ever developed for winter-‐run steelhead. Fish it deep, mend often, and slowly swing the fly through the runs.
Blue/Black: This is a top pattern during any time of the year on any steelhead river. Depending on the tip used, the fly can be fished right on the bottom or near the surface.
Chart/Blue: Pale earth tones make for an all-‐season pattern when rivers are running gin-‐clear. Great alternative when a fish has been fished over with a bright fly without success.
Pink: This is a must-‐have fly for fresh-‐run fish, both steelhead and chinook salmon. Fish it right on the bottom, and as slow as possible.
Red/Orange: The combination of red and orange has always been popular for winter steelhead fly fishing. This fly is especially “HOT.” Fish it when water is discolored, whether from winter rains or summer snow melt.
Purple: This hi-‐viz dark pattern works both in clear and discolored water, from low light to bright, mid day conditions. As tied with the upturned stinger, fish the fly deep.

Trey’s SteelFLASH_________________________________ The SteelFlash fly series was developed in an effort to create a fly that neither absorbs nor traps water, has an abundance of flash to incite takes from even the most sullen fish, tremendous action in the water, and both sinks well and balances perfectly with a stinger hook riding up. SteelFlash flies are versatile and can be fished year-‐round in a variety of depths with a wide range of fly lines and techniques.
Blue or Purple: Whatever your choice on a given day, both colors are most effective summer-‐run patterns. For summer-‐runs, due to their brilliant flash there is no need to focus on running these patterns deep. They are deadly fishing on the swing using dry lines. For winter fish go for the larger fly size fished on a range of sink tips to match water conditions.
Pink: This multi-‐season pattern works extremely effectively on both summer and winter steelhead and Coho and Chinook salmon. For winter high water flows, use the larger size with an appropriate range of fast sink tips suitable for the existing water conditions.
Orange: Fish this color on a range of fast sinking tips. Mend to slow the speed of the swing and allow the fly to pause for a few seconds at the end of the swing before re-‐casting. The flashing holographic tail gives the fly tremendous appeal and a signal to steelhead to strike! PANTONE 350
