During next 5 years developing plan in Iran , railway share in passenger (in

cities and intercity) and Freight transport have to be increased strongly

according to Fuel saving Act in 2008, and 10 B.$ is going to be invested

annually in this field.

Today metro line under operation is about 100 km only in Tehran with 1.5 million daily pass. And the construction is underway in 5

more cities and is going to be 700 kms in next 5 years in

D8 countries with more than 900 million population, wide area, big cities and fast growing economy,

have one of the best opportunities for cooperation in railway industries

to save energy, life and climate

1. D-8 with 14% of world pop. And fast growing economy is a big market for railway industry.

2. D-8 with worldwide famous manufacturers in railway industries have considerable capacity for supplying the members needs.

3. Cooperation in railway industry (R&D + common platform) makes a huge synergy for faster eco. development.

4. Participating the investment packages like BOO and BOT paves the way to improve productivity.
