DEBATES : QUESTIONS/ISSUES RAISED BY WOMEN

NGOs Poor communication with women’s NGOs: general mistrust in political

parties + NGOs more interested in amending public policies and less in actively supporting more women into politics.

Political parties Women’s organizations within political parties are the last on the list when

distributing resources (decision making positions when gaining power). They are united by the same problems despite belonging to different

political parties and they are aware of – not ideology, but gender. They do the hard work: conscious of active membership, and less

rewarding. They lack communication with other women from the same party. Lack of solidarity among women in politics (general).
