Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it

to the full project?

I have learnt a lot from my preliminary task about the typical layout of magazines , though research on google and Bing I was able to try and recreate the techniques and styles used in other magazines. For example the three colour system (using a maximum of three colour in your work) was on of the features I found in other magazines; I practiced this in my preliminary task using the colour scheme of the school, I again used this techniques in my music magazine.

Through studying other magazines I was able to learn techniques such as the left side third rule; I was then able to practice these techniques in my preliminary task.

While doing my preliminary task I was able to learn how different target audiences require a different set of language.

In addition I was able to explore new technology and sites in my preliminary task, such as Prezi, survey monkey, and fireworks. This gave me a greater skill set that would allow me to produce a better final project.
