› Quality of working life is the degree to which member of a
work organization are able to satisfy their personal needs
through their experience in the organization.
› QWL = Physical factors(work conditions) + economic
factors + psychological factors , which affect their job.

› Fair and reasonable pay–Employees must be paid there due share in the progress
and prosperity of the firm.
› Favorable and safer environment–Provision of work environment free from various hazards
arising out of natural and unnatural things.

– The management should redesign the job in such a manner that
workers feel satisfied.

human resource for expansion and development.

– Suggestion system satisfies psychological needs of the employees.
– Use of cash awards or publish worker’s name with photograph inmagazine for successful suggestions.
– This motivates the employees to be in search to add something toorganization.

– Each group of workers is given freedom of decision-making onproduction methods, distribution of tasks, work schedules and so on.

– Compressed work-week : More no. of hours per hour for fewer daysof week.
› Employees’ Participation
– People in organization have a need for participation in matteraffecting their lives.
– Participation in form of suggestion system, Management by objective.
