Our Mission

To host and attend events and activities of international character to promote the understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism and diversity in our community, in the United States, and around the world!

SEPTEMBER EVENTS

CIC Celebrate! Week at Queens: Cultural celebrations in the Dining Hall each day during the week of Sept. 26th – 30th with authentic cuisine and decorations to celebrate the country/region of the day.

The Shades of Blue & Gold Talent Show: The finale of CIC Celebrate! Week, and a showcase of the diverse talents of Queens students!

Diwali: The Indian Festival of Lights Indian Cuisine in the Dining Hall with a performance

by the Bella Faraasha Belly Dancing Club

A Henna Artist, Rangoli Designs, Traditional Indian Music, Décor and Desserts

Invisible Children Book Drive

Collecting unwanted, used books at the end of our semester for the QUIC philanthropy.

Sending the books to Better World Books to benefit the Invisible Children program in Uganda.

Intercultural Festival

Volunteer members/students create informational posters about their country of origin or a country of interest

Chartwells provides a food sampling of traditional food from that country

Cultural performances throughout the event set an intercultural atmosphere and guests enjoy the fun!

Sedgefield Elementary School: Queens-Sedgefield Partnership

Log all group volunteer hours with the CAC under QUIC affiliation!!
