LAUGH A LITTLEA Punjabi lawyer working abroad wrote to his wife...
DEAR Sunita Darling,
I can't send you my salary this month because the global market crisis has affected my Company's performance, so I am sending 100 kisses. You are my sweetheart, please manage somehow.
Your loving husband, JITA
His wife replied.... TINKU KE PAPPA ,
Thanks for the 100 kisses, Below is the list of expenses I paid with the Kisses...: 1. The Milk man agreed on 2 kisses for one month's milk. 2. The electricity man agreed not to disconnect only after 7 kisses. 3. Your landlord Balkar Singh comes every day to take 2 or 3 kisses instead of the monthly rent. 4. Supermarket owner Jaswant Singh did not accept kisses only, so I gave him other items, you know.....(that...???) I hope you understand... 5. Miscellaneous expenses 40 kisses. Please don't worry about me, I still have a balance of 35 kisses and I hope I can survive the month using this balance... Shall I plan the same for the next month? Because trust me, I am doing just fine with these arrangements. No Worries....!
Message by SVP Susan Ringol
Dear fellow Greenbelters,
Our fellowship at Puerto Azul was a much needed break for everyone. At last we had a lot of time to chat and enjoy the place, a very nice private rest house. Thanks to PP Al for making the arrangements and for the free lunch with matching give-away items courtesy of their company. Thank you, thank you!
Our past meetings were well attended, thank you very much for your continuous support. Another rotary year has passed and we have implemented a lot of projects through our joint efforts. It is with deep gratitude and great honor that I humbly say, I did it! We did it! I will prepare a summary of those projects and present this to you during our Awards and Turn-over night. Again, a million thanks to all!
Saturday, June 5, will mark the close of the Rotary Year 2009-2010 through the District Awards event in RCBC Auditorium. PP Sioni, PE Ana & Rtn Au will join me in this momentous occasion.
Then next meeting, June 9, will be our Club Awards and Turn-over Night. We will recognize our members for their dedication and unwavering support to our club as we finally close the curtain of another great rotary year. We hope to see you all in this important milestone in our Club history!
But before all those, let us welcome our PE Ana as she starts holding our meeting starting today. She will present her plans and prepare for the Team Visit. I’m sure our constructive inputs will definitely be appreciated.
Finally, let us continue our selfless service as we celebrate rotary in its year of “Building Communities and Bridging Continents” for the Future of Rotary is in our Hands!!
