• The second most common mistake made in writing occurs when pronouns do not agree with the number of nouns they are supposed to reflect.

Incorrect: Each student must bring their own lunch.

Correct: Each student must bring his or her own lunch.

Pronoun TipsAnother common mistake is made when the pronoun comes after a comparative word, such as “than”.

1.My best friend always eats more burritos than she or her.

2.Do you really believe that you are stronger than me or I ?

The way to figure this out is to add another word to end the sentence to determine which pronoun fits.1.My best friend always eats more burritos than she or her is.
