Forming Age Numbers

• The sign form is a combination of the sign indicating age and the number itself.

• To indicate age, the index finger contacts the chin and is followed by the number.

• You can use a variation of the sign for “old” in conjunction with the number.

Ranking by Age

• When talking about three or more children or siblings in a family, rank each child by age on your non dominant hand.

• The oldest is represented by the thumb or index finger

• Continue giving additional information by simply pointing to the finger representing that family member.
