    PURPOSE

    The purpose of this User Guide is to provide instructional guidance for creating and using professional networks

    between ABB Customers and Employees within ProNET (Professional Networking) collaboration platform. This guideillustrates the process and tools for creating personal connections, user groups, messaging and other professionalactivities performed by SolutionsBank Users.

    INTENDED AUDIENCE

    ABB EmployeesABB Employees are authorized to use ProNET features in SolutionsBank without limitations.

    ABB CustomersABB Customers with valid PREMIUM subscriptions are authorized to use ProNET features and to participate inProNET activities without limitations.

    Public Users of ABB SolutionsBankRegistered Public Users with COMPLIMENTARY subscriptions to ABB SolutionsBank portal are NOT authorized to

    participate in ProNET activities.

    WHAT IS PRONET?The ProNETname was derived from the industry term Professional Networking and is ABBs newest enhancement of

    the global ABB SolutionsBank portal. It provides a global collaboration platform for ABB Customers and Employees,allowing users to build their professional networks and join user communities based on their interests in ABB productsand industries, and their ABB Service contract and account team assignments.

    How to Enable and Access ProNET InterfaceTo enable ProNET for your SolutionsBank account, simply go to My SolutionsBank, open the My User Profilepage from the main menu and click on the Join ProNETbutton:

    By reading and accepting Terms and Conditions, you will enable the ProNET feature, which will appear in themain left-hand menu. ABB also recommends to make appropriate selections for My Industries.. and My ABB

    Products.. sections to properly filter out suggestions and postings you are not interested in.

    Getting Started with ProNETFrom now on, you will be able to access and use ProNET directly from your left- hand menu. The ProNETmenu text will be highlighted when there are new updates available in your network. By default, My News Feedpage is open, showing latest updates from the members of your network, ProNET member network or usergroup invites, and/or suggested public user groups you may join, and who is presently active on SolutionsBank.

    Start by adding a photo (avatar) to your ProNET profile simply click on the image holder, and select a picturefrom your computer:

    Once the photo is uploaded, it will show as your avatar. If you need to change it, simply click on the pictureagain and select another one at any time. You also can post a status update or an image, or check systemsuggestions based on your preferences set in your user profile earlier:

    Finding People And Building Your NetworkAt this point, you have established your presence in the ProNET environment, and your name will becomevisible to other users of the system. You can now start making connections with others, building yourprofessional network. You can also use SEARCH to find persons you would like to collaborate with, as long asthey are registered to participate in ProNET. Partial name entries and * wildcard are supported.

    In addition, the system will try to locate persons affiliated with your company, site or ABB service contract andsuggest those contacts to you. Place the cursor over the avatar to see user details, and/or to accept thesuggestion. Click on the X icon next to the name to ignore/dismiss the suggestion.

    In general, you should organize your Colleagues under My Network, and use the My ABB Team page tomanage your ABB contacts.

    Note: To maintain users privacy, adding users to My ABB Team does not require invitation and/oracceptance from ABB users, while adding user(s) to My Network requires acceptance of your invitation:

    Joining, Creating And Using ProNET User GroupsBased on your User Profile settings and selections, the system will attempt to find and suggest existing UserGroups that may be of interest to you. There are public and private User Groups in ProNETjoining a privateUser Group requires an invitation, while any ProNET user can join and participate in public User Groups.

    In addition, you can create your own User Group(s) by clicking the Create New Group link on top:

    There are four SECURITY levels that can be assigned to a User Group:

    PUBLIC- any ProNET user will see and be able to join the User Group

    SEMI-PRIVATE- colleagues and personal network members of any Group Member may join the group without invitation

    PRIVATE- ProNET users can only be invited by the Group Administrator- ProNET users can be invited by existing Group Members

    Note: By default, the creator of the User Group will be the Administrator of that User Group. The User GroupAdministrator will have the ability to invite other members of his/her network to join the group(if the group is private), or assign User Group Administrator rights to other User Group Members.

    Once you have created or joined a group, you will be able to see and participate in Discussions, view the full listof the User Group Members and users that have been invited to join the group. Create a new discussion by

    clicking on the Create A New Discussion link, or type in and post your comments, image or a document to theexisting discussion:

    Note: When users decide to LEAVE a user group, it will be removed from their screens only. All thediscussions and posts will remain visible to the rest of the active Group Members.

    Using ProNET Private MessagingUsers can send private messages to each other at any timemessage delivery is instantaneous, updates areposted automatically within just a few seconds. To send a private message to members of your network, simply

    click on the Send Message link, or move the cursor over persons name or avatar for a pop-up dialog.

    You can also send private messages from the My Network screen by clicking on the Send Message link:

    Once the message is sent, your private dialog will appear in the Messages section:

    You can continue exchanging private messages with other users by using this screen. Click on a users nameon the left side to switch between your private conversations.

    Users can also receive daily ProNET Digest Notifications via E-mail. To enable the notification function, open theAutoNotification / Configure AutoNotifications page and check the Send ProNET Digest Notifications box:

    Terms and Conditions for SolutionsBank And ProNet Professional Networking

    Before editing your profile and entering information into SolutionsBank and/or ProNet, you must agree to these Terms

    and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions describe how your data will be used and who will have access to it.

    These Terms and Conditions are currently available only in English. If you need help with the Terms and Conditions,

    please consult the local legal department in your country.

    0. Terminology

    The terms "you", "user", member, Subscriber, and "employee" are used to refer to all individuals and/or entitiesaccessing SolutionsBank and/or ProNet.

    The term "ABB" refers to any company belonging to the ABB Group.

    1. Purpose of useSolutionsBank is a global Internet portal to ABB customer support and knowledge management that enables ABBscustomers to quickly locate manuals, documents, field reports, troubleshooting guides and software updates specific toABB products and systems. Complimentary users of SolutionsBank have limited access to its content.

    The ProNet service is an ABB sponsored professional network which contains business related contact andorganizational information about its registered members. Additionally, members can add more detailed information in

    order to facilitate networking and to help identify Pronet users with similar interests, experience and expertise.Members can connect to each other in order to exchange information and stay informed of what each other are doing.

    2. Information sharing

    2.1. Access to the system

    The ProNet service is available to all registered SolutionsBank premium subscribers. Because non-ABB individuals suchas customers, subcontractors, external consultants working for ABB and information technology partners have access toSolutionsBank, they may also have access to the ProNet service.

    2.2. Privacy

    Basic business related information such as your name, phone number, e-mail address, etc. will be available in theSolutionsBank and ProNet services. The basic business related information will remain available to every user who hasaccess to the ProNet service and that you have added to your network while you are a ProNet member. Recognition ofyou as a member and access to your profile information will be removed should you or ABB terminate your ProNetservice membership.

    In addition to this existing data you can add more information about yourself such as your areas of expertise orproducts you are involved with or have interest in. This information will be utilized by the ProNet service to identify andsuggest other ProNet members with similar profiles as you that you may wish to add to your personal network. Enteringthis additional information is optional. You are not required to fill in all fields in your profile. You can leave certain data

    fields empty.

    Your personal profile data can only be accessed by those members that you have included in your network.

    You can post status updates which appear in the news feed in your profile. These status updates are available to allusers who have access to your Profile. The system automatically generates updates in your news feed based on youractions. For example, when you update information in your profile, an automated post about the updated informationwill appear in your news feed.

    By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you consent to ABB making your information available to other users asdescribed above.

    2.3. Data transfer

    ABB does not sell or rent your information to other companies or individuals.

    ABB may store and process your information in any country in which ABB or ABBs hosting and information systemproviders maintain facilities. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you consent to the transfer of the informationyou have added among these facilities, including those located outside your country. You agree that your data may beprocessed and stored outside your country and in countries in which data protection laws are not as comprehensive asin your country or where no such legislation exists. Nevertheless, ABB will take appropriate organizational and securitymeasures to protect the data against unauthorized access, unauthorized alteration, disclosure and destruction.

    ABB may share aggregated information with other parties. Examples of this include user trends or the number of userswho have filled in a particular section of the profile. This aggregated information will not identify any individuals and ismade available for statistical purposes only.

    3. Updating your information

    You will not be able to change some of your information in the profile. For example, you cannot edit the phone number

    field. In cases where you cannot change the information yourself, ABB will provide instructions on how the informationcan be changed or who you need to contact to have the information changed.

    For the data which you can edit yourself, you are responsible for ensuring that the data entered is accurate and kept upto date. If any data in your profile is no longer valid, you are expected to update your profile within a reasonable time.

    4. Data retention

    Your data remains in SolutionsBank and/or ProNet and is accessible by you and your network members as long as youare a registered SolutionsBank and/or ProNet user.

    If your Pronet user account is disabled, for example, as a result of your SolutionsBanks account expiring, possibleaccess to your profile and data by you and other Pronet users not defined in your network is removed fromSolutionsBank and/or ProNet. Your ProNet data continues to be accessible by those members you previously included inyour network. Your access to your Pronet profile and data will be restored once your account status is reinstated.

    If your Pronet user account remains disabled, content which you have posted will nevertheless remain in the system.This includes content such as status updates in your activity feed, your posts on other peoples note boards, etc.

    5. Acceptable use

    ProNet acts as a passive channel for online distribution of user-submitted information. ABB will not screen informationin advance and is not responsible for screening or monitoring posted material.

    Information entered in your personal profile must be correct. Do not use language that might be regarded asinappropriate by other users of SolutionsBank and/or ProNet. All information entered must be in compliance with allapplicable laws. You may consult with your local legal counsel regarding applicable laws.

    Any user can report incorrect, misleading or abusive information or content which does not conform to these Terms andConditions by contacting the ProNet system administrator using the link provided. ABB reserves the right to remove orchange user-submitted information which violates these Terms and Conditions and/or the ABB Code of Conduct. Wherethe Terms and Conditions and/or the ABB Code of Conduct have been violated, ABB reserves the right to takedisciplinary action against the users concerned.

    6. Withdrawal of consent

    You may choose to withdraw your consent and agreement to the Terms and Conditions at any time by submitting arequest to disable your ProNet account to the ProNet administrator using the SolutionsBank Feedback function on theSolutionsBank page. ABB will ensure within one month after receiving the withdrawal of consent that access to the

    information you have provided in your profile will be disabled.

    If you withdraw your consent, content which you have posted will nevertheless remain in the system. This includescontent such as status updates in your activity feed, your posts on other peoples note boards, etc.

    7. Information security

    ABB takes appropriate organizational and security measures to protect the data against unauthorized access,unauthorized alteration, disclosure and destruction.

    The basic business related information (name, phone number, etc.) will be accessible to all users who have access tothe ProNet service. Additional data you have voluntarily entered will be accessible by the group of users you have

    defined in your privacy settings.

    System administrators, technical support staff and other third parties who support ABB in running the system will alsohave access to your data.

    ABB has no responsibility for information that you provide to third parties when using SolutionsBank, ProNet andassociated services.

    8. Updates to these Terms and conditions

    Changes to the Terms and Conditions will be recorded in this document. We expect these Terms and Conditions tochange from time to time. We expect such changes to be minor, but there may be changes which are more significant.If the changes are significant, we will inform you directly and give you sufficient time to adapt your profile or withdrawyour consent. Each version will be noted at the top of the page. Prior versions of the Terms and conditions will be keptin an archive for you to view.
