r m (M-R/C) - Recalls Memory value(e.g., if 150 has been stored in Memory,pressing r m will display 150).

Entering Square or Cubic

To label a dimension as “Square” or“Cubic,” enter the value, then press thedesired dimension key twice forSquare and three times for Cubic. Forexample, to enter 25 Cubic Yards,press 2 5 y y y.

Fraction Resolution

Your calculator is set to display Fractionalvalues to the nearest 16th of an Inch(default setting). Press r / to accessthe fraction resolution setting. Repeatedpresses of / will then revolve throughthe available settings: 1/16, 1/32, 1/64,1/2, 1/4 and 1/8. Press o to exit.

Project Keys

p - PaintCalculates volume of paint, based onan entered area and a stored PaintCoverage per Gallon (see below).Finds quantity in Gallons, Quarts orPints upon repeated presses.

s p - Stores Paint CoverageStores Paint Coverage per Gallon. Torecall this setting, press r p.Default is 350 sq.ft. per gallon.

w - WallpaperCalculates number of rolls of wallpaper,based on an entered area and a storedWallpaper Roll Coverage Area (seebelow).

t - TileFinds the number of tiles, based onan entered area and a user-storedGrout Width (see below). Repeatedpresses will scroll between numbersof tiles for various “standard” tilesizes (18”, 16”, 13”, 12”, 10”, 8”, 6”,4”, 2”, 1” and 24”).Note: Tile sizes shown in Inches, not SquareInches (as used in custom tile size calculations).In other words, a 6” tile is really 6” x 6”, or a 36Square-Inch tile, but it is labeled as a 6” size.

s t - Stores Grout WidthStores Grout Width in Inches; used incalculating the number of tiles (seeabove). To recall this setting, pressr t. Default is 0 (no grout width).

F - FenceMulti-function key that finds the number of fence boards, number ofposts and number of rails based onan entered distance, BoardWidth/O.C. and post spacing.

s F - Stores Post SpacingStores Post Spacing On-center forfence in Feet-Inches. To recall this set-ting, press r F. Default is 8 Feet.

Ç 7 - Board FeetCalculates number of board Feetbased on entered volume. One boardfoot equals 144 Cubic Inches.

Ç 4 - 4x8 SheetCalculates number of 4’ x 8’ sheets(for drywall, paneling), based onentered linear distance or area.

Ç 5 - CarpetCalculates carpet length required (ofeither 12’, 13’ or 15’-wide carpet rolls),based on entered area. Repeatedpresses of 5 will scroll between valuesfor 12’, 13’, and 15’ rolls.

Ç 6 - Custom TileCalculates number of tiles based on anentered area and a stored Custom TileSize (see below). This is used sepa-rately from the regular Tile Key (t ).Note: Calculation does not account for grout widthfor custom tiles, so you will need to adjust for this.

s 6 - Stores Custom Tile SizeStores Custom Tile Size in SquareInches. To recall this setting, pressr 6. Default is 24 Square Inches.

Ç 1 - ConcreteCalculates the number of bags of con-crete required, based on an entered vol-ume (e.g., cubic feet or cubic yards) anda stored Volume per Bag (see below).

s 1 - Stores Concrete Volume per BagStores the Volume per Bag of concrete. To recall this setting, pressr 1. Default is 0.67 Cubic Feetper bag (80 lbs.).

Ç 2 - BrickCalculates the number of standard eight Inch-size U.S. bricks (with 3/8”mortar) based on entered linear distance (or area, volume) for both“face” (21-Square Inch) and “paver”(32-Square Inch) brick applications.

Auto Shut-Off and BatteriesAuto Shut-Off: After 8-12 minutes of non-use.Batteries Included: Two LR-43 batteries.Battery-Life: 575 hours of actual use.To replace the batteries, use a small Phillip’shead screwdriver and unscrew the singlescrew in the center of the battery door, locatedon the back of the calculator Carefully remove the battery door, remove theold batteries from the clips and replace themwith two new LR-43 batteries. Make sure thepositive sides (+) are facing up. Replace thebattery door and re-attach the screw.
