transparency international
very hectic, scary and very tiring! had to go through hours of and hours of paperwork and questions which had already been answered in an initial report. They dissuaded us to even file a report!
After arguing he let me o! with Rs 30 telling him I didn’t have change.
I had to go down to the police station at least 3 times before the cops were even ready to file the report. They kept discouraging me to do so and and trying to intimidate me with the consequences of filing a complaint.
Harrowing. they never want to file an FIR for theft. even if it was nothing but theft, they insist you say “lost”. The men are rude. The whole experience is unnerving
police station hopping, yes
I think more than helpful or intimidating, they don’t seem to be simply interested in their job
They mostly look for a quick buck and leave you sooner than you’d imagine.
