OVERVIEW• Askari Housing Scheme, Lahore is responsible for

construction of residential apartments for retiring Army

Officers

• Askari Housing Scheme, Lahore issued tenders for

construction of 10 residential apartments during

December 2014.

• Sheikh Construction Company participated in the open

bidding process and won the tenders on merit for

construction of an apartment block having 8 floors

(ground plus 7) with 4 apartments on each floor.

PROJECT CHARTER

SCOPE

• Construction of the apartment block in stipulated timeframe.

• 18 months’ time from 1 Mar 2015 to 31 Aug 2016.

• Askari will provide Cement and steel as per requirements of the project.

• All architectural and structural drawings and designs will be provided by Askari.

• Sheikh Construction Company will arrange for all required materials and services at its own.

Construction of residential apartments for retiring Army Officers.

The project will help Askari Housing Scheme to provide residential accommodation to retiring member

officers.

Askari Housing Scheme is a self-financed scheme for provision of houses/apartments to member officers on

retirement.

Background:

Our group has been awarded the contract for construction of a residential apartment by Askari Housing

Scheme at Askari XI Lahore.

The project will help our group to build a good repute for expansion of our operations in construction

industry.

Deliverables:

Construction of a residential apartment

Linking the residential apartment with external services.

Maintenance support for one year

QUALITY CONTROL PLAN (CONT)• Sheikh Construction Company shall stand up to its repute

through high quality standards.

• To achieve the desired quality of the end product and to work according to the set standard of the previously done projects, following quality management plan has been developed in accordance to the previously mentioned project plan. Fixed working hours and schedule has been set in order to complete the

project in time and to perform flawless work.

Our professionals will test every process and every construction step.

Excavation will be performed by skilled labor and machinery. When the excavation is complete site officer and site engineer will survey the site and no further work will be performed unless we get an approval.

Quality control officer and site engineer will regularly monitor the structure work at each phase of completion. They will also monitor type and quality of cement, sand, steel reinforcements, brick on each or prior purchase. Only that material would be used which would be mentioned before the work is performed.

QUALITY CONTROL PLAN (CONT)

• All the material whether it will be used in the structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing and for floor work will be procured from approved source and will be inspected and then passed by the Quality Control Lab so that the agreed and expected quality can be achieved.

Communications Guidelines• Communication with the client will be through

monthly meetings and all the project performance will be delivered through documentation. Meetings will be scheduled before the start of construction.

• Communication with the consultant will be done via e mails. In return the consultant will provide a schedule for onsite inspection.

• Communication with the project team will be done on daily basis with a face to face interaction.

• Communication with the supplier will be done through documentation on every purchase, RFQ will be submitted to the supplier in return the supplier will give quotations and best suitable supplier will be chosen. The supplier will submit invoices of the delivered materials on each purchase.
