Advantages • Reversing contactors with horizontal construction reduces the amount of panel space required. • Improved arc extinguishing above 600V helps decrease contact wear. • Minimal mechanical movement for contact closure helps reduce downtime. • DC magnet assembly helps reduce power consumption. • Protective cover guards accidental contact with vacuum interrupters. • Vacuum interrupter contains contact arc in a sealed environment. • Visual ON/OFF indicator provides the status of forward and reverse contactors. • Line and load terminals positioned up front for easy wiring. • Control pack converts AC input power to DC coil voltage, houses control power and auxiliary contact terminals and provides you with a quiet operation and reduced power consumption. • Higher voltage (1500V) availability compensates for voltage drops caused by long runs of wiring. Overview The Allen-Bradley® line of vacuum contactors by Rockwell Automation have expanded to include the new Bulletin 1104C Reversing Vacuum Contactor. The new reversing contactor is designed to provide you with improved performance by featuring contacts sealed from harsh contamination. These new contactors are both mechanically and electrically interlocked which avoids both contactors to be closed simultaneously providing you with additional safety. In addition, the heavy-duty mounting rail provides you with convenience and ease of installation. Our line of reversing vacuum contactors are now available in 200 A, 400 A and 600 A versions for use up to 1500V maximum to meet your industrial needs. Bulletin 1104C Reversing Vacuum Contactors are ideal for industries with harsh environments such as mining, pharmaceutical, petroleum, cement and metal processing, and pulp and paper where reliable motor starting is essential. BULLETIN 1104C REVERSING VACUUM CONTACTORS Superior Performance in a Space Saving Design
* Inrush current should be less than 1000% of IEC AC3 operational current. For use on transformers having an inrush not more than 20 times the rated full load current irrespective of
secondary load. Ratings do not apply to transformers used in resistive welder service.
** Terminal lugs not included – see Accessories below
AccessoriesAuxiliary Contacts
Contactors are supplied with one normally open and one normally closed auxiliary contacts (A600 rating) as
standard. Additional auxiliary contacts, two normally open and two normally closed, can be added in the field.
