The sound track that got the most votes was 28 days later because the

music builds up a lot of tension and suspense during the film,

the other films might of not got as many votes because the music might not of

been suitable also the other films are not zombie films.

The reason why Halloween music may not of been chosen is

because it doesn’t really fit in with genre of our film,

if we did use the music there would be a spooky feel to film and we do not want to achieve that.

People voted for a moderate priority for the film I think this is

because if there is too much action then the narrative is lost.

Also if there is too much action there is no real climax of the film because it is all

action and the anti climax only comes near the end of the film.

If we were to focus on action through out the whole film then there would be no climax

and the audience would inevitably get bored,

also if it were a low priority the audience might not enjoy the film as much and it

may also effect the certification of the film and may lower it.

Page 5: Presentation1

The graph shows that most people want to see

a moderate amount of gore,

this is probably because that if there is too much the film

might get boring and there will be no climax.

Most people probably want comedy to be a low priority

in the film this is because

if there is to much comedy the tension in the film wont be there,

however they have still put it as a low priority which means

the audience wouldn’t mind seeing a bit of

comedy during the film, this is because if there

is comedy the scarier bits in the film will seem scarier.

Page 6: Presentation1

In the questionnaire people wanted a moderate plot,

which means that the story shouldn’t be to complex,

this is because if the story line is too complex the

audience may not be able to keep up with the plot and get

bored this is why most films have a moderately complex plot,

this is because the film becomes easier to follow if the plot I not that complex.

Dull lighting was most popular for our genre this is because dull lightingcreates a very ominous and daunting atmosphere, which adds to the traditional conventions of a horror movie. Not many people put down bright lightingthis is because the film wouldn’t be as tense, however if the lighting is very bright it can. Make the film seem veryabstract and like there is a flash back or the protagonist is in danger the bright light can be used to highlight a situation.

School Deserted Warehouse Shopping Mall

Setting

Setting

People might have chosen a shopping mall this is because they can be very scary at nighttime and would also be a place where loads of people could be infected with the zombie plague. Some people might have chosen school because it can be a very daunting place when there is no light and it is 10 o’clock at night. It is also a very scary place because even though there are loads of children here during the day it is completely baron during the nights.

Page 11: Presentation1

We put the ages that are above because know one younger than 15 would be watching our film because

there is to much gore and there will be mildly strong swear words throughout the film,

also the people we asked might have thought it appropriate to be at least a 15 film because a 15

year old is less likely to get scared or take the film wrongly than a younger teenager.

Page 12: Presentation1

The reason there are more men is because we asked more male people this is mostly because

it is men that go to watch zombie films with there friends and it is mostly men who play games

that include zombies or and horror. Our target audience is men because they the people that

got to cinemas to watch films that will keep them on the edge of there seats,

we only had a few women because they don’t tend to like that genre.

Conclusion

The 28 days later soundtrack has been voted for the most this is because of how the music is tense and also how it builds suspense, this is good because of the effect it has on the audience, this is that it keeps them on the edge of there seats and also makes them want to keep on watching. The people we asked also voted for a heroic teenager this is because there needs to be some one that takes/leads the group through the story, this also ads tension because there will also be a character that puts every ones lives in danger, this will keep the audience on the edge of there seats and also make them feel like they know the characters better. The certification for the film was voted for a 18 this means that there will be a lot of gore and swearing the reason for the 18 is that it is safe fore no one impressionable to watch the film. The audience also want there to be a focus on action and moderate amount this means that there will be a lot of shooting and blood but not to much for there not to be a climax in the film, we want to achieve a good film equilibrium to keep the audience on the edge of there seats. The audience wants a bit of comedy, we can achieve this with gore, which the audience also wants if there is too much gore the film becomes satirical, but when there is a realistic amount eh film becomes very real. The audience also wants there to be dull lighting this is so the whole mise-en-scene of the film and also makes the film very tense and eerie, this is the ideal effect to make the audience scared and on the edge of there seats. The audience would like a bit of point of view filming and also the setting to be in the school the point of view filming will make it look like the audience are playing a game and will also make them feel like they are in the film as well. The setting ofthe film being in a school is good because it will be familiar to the audience which will make them scared and also very nervous because of the chance of it being “Real”.The main gender watching this film will be men this is because stereo typically and from our research it has shown that males prefer to watch gory action film that can keep them on the edge as there seats where as females wanting to watch comedy romances with the occasional action film.
