New TasksNew functionality
Prepare for Sharing
New task used for simplification of PDF documents. It can
remove processing step layers and non-printing layersdownsample and crop images outline textapply document distortion.
It will also remove Esko specific metadata.
Export to Gravure using HELL Job Ticket
New task to generate pixel data for engraving. HELL Gravure Systems job tickets created in HelioDisk software are used to describe all the parameters like separations to engrave, resolution to use or anti-alias.
The task both generates the pixel data and adjusts the job ticket accordingly.
Reverse trapping
Preparing artwork of beverage cans or cups for printing in Dry Offset is a very complex and error prone task because it requires introducing a small gap between adjacent colors of each individual graphic objectAbility to apply a bi-directional gap
Updated TasksImproved functionality
Inspect tasks powered by Global Vision
We have done a major upgrade of the Inspect tasks powered by Global Vision. In terms of features and bug fixes, this brings us again on the same level as Global Vision's desktop application. This major upgrade has some important consequences:
Customers that upgrade will need a new/different license key.Without providing that new key after an upgrade, the Inspect tasks will not work. The license installation is easier than before and can be found in the same place as before.
The ‘Global Vision Profile Editor’ has been removed. Customers can still use their existing custom profiles. Customers that want to create/change their own profiles will have to do so with Global Vision’s desktop application (and copy them manually to the correct location on AE).
The Global Vision configure panel will not show the inspection count. Customers will have to consult (a) Global Vision (platform) for this.
