VISION & MISSION OF SARFOur Vision• To be the authoritative organisation representing the

broad South African Road sector.

The SARF Mission• The South African Road Federation is dedicated to the

entire road sector.• Acting in the interest of all people and organisations

involved in the sector, • SARF promotes an effective and efficient road system for

social and economic growth and, through education and training, facilitates capacity building to meet these needs.

2017 IRF MEETING• SARF is ready to host the IRF in South Africa

for the 2017 Meeting• South Africa has state of the art ICCs in

Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town• The three venues have already been inspected

by an IRF representative.

SANDTON CONVENTION CENTRE• Sandton Convention Centre is Southern Africa’s international leading and

most prestigious, multi-purpose exhibition and convention centre.• Situated in northern Johannesburg, in the heart of Sandton’s business,

hotel and entertainment district, Sandton Convention Centre offers easy access to over 5000 hotel rooms, is adjacent to the country’s top shopping and entertainment complexes and provides nearly 11 000 secure parking bays.

• SOUTH AFRICA’S MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED CONVENTION CENTRE

• There are over 22 000 sqm of convention, exhibition and special event space. The Pavillion can seat 4500 patrons. The Ballroom can seat 2000 banquet guests and the 13 other meeting rooms can accommodate up to 350 delegates. The two exhibition levels have a combined floor space of 11 000 sq.metre.

Chief Albert Luthuli ICC DURBAN• The International Convention Centre Durban (ICC) is one of

the most advanced conference facilities in the world. Flexibility and versatility are key factors in the design of this state-of-the-art technology-driven centre.

• The halls can be opened up to form one large venue with seating for 5000 delegates or 7000 m squared of column free floor space.

• ICC Durban has been voted Africa’s Leading Conference Centre for six consecutive years by World Travel Awards and in 2004 was also ranked as one of the top ten conference centres in the world by AIPC. Its proven track record is unrivalled in Africa.

CAPE TOWN ICC• The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is the most state-of-

the-art conference and meeting venue in South Africa.• Set in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the CTICC offers

a purpose built, state-of-the-art convention facility with high tech infrastructure. Since its launch the CTICC has hosted major medical and scientific conventions with thousands of delegates as well as consumer exhibitions and trade shows.

• The dedicated 10 000 sq.metre exhibition space can accommodate 10 000 delegates or can be configured into five separate venues for smaller exhibitions, banquets or conferencing. Further expansion is planned and is under construction.

• Auditoria – The CTICC contains two raked fixed-seating auditoria seating 1500 and 600 people respectively.

• Ballroom – The grand 2000 sq. metre ballroom has panoramic city views.• Break out rooms – The 33 break-out rooms adjoin the auditoria and 20 of the

meeting rooms can be configured to different sizes.
