HCOOH(aq)+Ag2O(aq)→2Ag(s)+H2O(l)+CO2(g)

Tollen’s reagent:(solution of silver nitrate and ammonia)

HCOOH + [O]→CO2+H2O

MnO4(-1) reduced to Mn(+2)

HCOOH+H2SO4→H2O+CO(g)

5C2O4(-2) + 2MnO4(-1) + 16H(+1)→2Mn(2+) + 8H2O + 10CO2

Condition:70 degree celcius Acidified KMnO4

HOOCCOOH + H2SO4→H2O + CO(g) + CO2(g)
