Exeed Premium Duct Liner (ExPDL) is utilized in commer- cial, institutional, industrial and residential construction as thermal and acoustical insulation through lining the rectangu- lar or circular air ducts, air handling equipment, walls ,ceilings and also acoustic enclosures, generator rooms, studios, curtain walls, auditoriums, conference rooms, theaters and others. Plenum operating at air velocities up to 30 m/s (6000 FM) and temperatures to 250°C. Description

Exeed Premium Duct Liner (ExPDL) is a highly efficient resilient fiber insulation produced from fine, stable and

Applications

. Exeed Premium Duct Liner (ExPDL) is utilized in commer-

Thermal Conductivity

. Thermal Resistance “R” Value (Excluding Facings) (ASTM C 167).

“R” is a measure of the resistance to heat flow of a material of any given thickness. (“R” = m2.°C/W or hr. ft2.°F/Btu.)

where “T” = thickness and “K” or “ג” = thermal conductivity.

The following table shows the “K” values of standard products and sizes at 24°C (75°F) mean temperature.

* 24°C / 75°F mean temperature.

The dependencies of thermal conductivity of Exeed Glasswool products on the mean temperature and density,

according to BS 874, ASTM C 177, 518, ISO 8301, 8302 or DIN 52612 are presented in the tables below:

Fire Safety and Properties

Exeed Glasswool has the following fire ratings which are critical for Duct Liner application:

. Not easily ignitable: Conforms to Class P as per BS 476 part 5.

. Fire retardant: Class 1 as per BS 476 part 7/Class O as per BS 476 part 6 and 7.

. Base fibers are non-combustible when tested in accordance with BS 476 (Part 4), ASTM E 84, 136.

Surface Burning characteristics (NFPA 255 , UL 723) as follows:

. Flame spread : Not over 25

. Smoke developed : Not over 50

Moisture Absorption

. Moisture Absorption (ASTM D-07 B, ASTM C 553)

In conditions of 95% relative humidity at 49°C for 96 hours, moisture absorption is less than 0.2% by volume, when tested in

accordance with ASTM C 533. Exeed Glasswool products do not absorb moisture from the ambient air.

Non- toxic

. Exeed Premium Duct Liner (ExPDL) IS NOT HAZARDOUS TO HEALTH

Performance and Physical Characteristic

Exeed Premium Duct Liner (ExPDL) has a high resistance to accident damage from knocks and handling during installation and

maintenance. Dimensionally stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity, rot proof, odourless, non-hygroscopic and

will not sustain Vermin or fungus.

Absorption Coefficient

. Acoustic Performance

Exeed Glasswool being fibrous and having an open air cell structure, is always preferred for its good noise

reduction property and is extensively used for acoustic insulation of multiplexes and sound studios.

Its average range of NRC is 0.75 to 1.24.
