Challenge With such reputed clients and increased focus on supply chain carbon footprint reporng, Prabha decided to deal with the challenge of migang its carbon emissions. In the past, the company has been compliant with a number of related iniaves such as Fair Trade, OSHAS 18001, ISO 14001 and others. In its drive toward becoming a sustainability champion, Prabha is aiming for full carbon neutrality. The company was very keen to use a well accredited GHG accounng tool conforming to industry best pracces, as they realised that using alternave methods - such as spreadsheets - is exhausng and lacks credibility. Soluon Cool Earth & Ecometrica customised Our Impacts for Prabha’s carbon accounng strategy, both at the factory level for three units in Pithampur and most importantly and uniquely, the first ever measurement of a carbon footprint at the farm level. Cool Earth worked extensively with both the farm team and the faculty management team at the factory level. Emission factors unique to India were used to ensure that calculaon was accurate and complete in scope. Results Prabha was very sasfied with Our Impacts and intends to introduce energy & process efficiency improvements as a result of its findings, in consultaon with the team at Cool Earth. Furthermore, Prabha feels assured that they can safely use Our Impacts outputs in any CSR or sustainability reports, or any other public disclosures.
