WHY ATTEND PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2014?Meeting OverviewPRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2014, the premier educational event for physician anesthesiologists and practice administrators, provides the latest trends, best practices and strategies to successfully manage an anesthesiology practice in today’s environment. Information will be presented on new technology, how it applies to an anesthesiology practice, and how it can improve practice performance and/or increase liability for the practice. The basics of the Perioperative Surgical Home concept, updates on legislative and regulatory changes, and newer models of payment will be discussed. The conference provides a forum for networking among peers and interaction with the experts to examine the rapidly evolving health care environment to improve practice efficiency, quality and patient safety.

PreconferencesFriday, January 24, 2014 This conference will offer four continuing medical education (CME) preconference options.

Preconference 1: Fundamentals in Practice Management is designed specifically for anesthesiologists and administrators who are relatively new in practice or have less experience in practice management.

Preconference 2: Advanced Topics in Practice Management is designed for anesthesiologists and practice managers who understand the fundamentals of a topic.

Preconference 3: The Business Model for Perioperative Care will introduce the basic concepts associated with the Perioperative Surgical Home concept of care.

Preconference 4: Chronic Pain is designed to educate chronic pain practitioners on regulatory, legislative and economic issues.

Target AudiencePRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2014 is designed for physician anesthesiologists and practice administrators interested in acquiring, maintaining or expanding skills needed to improve practice management, quality and patient safety.
