A. Pre-installation Preparation

NOTE: Be sure to inspect boards and remove the protective packing from the kit and dispose properly, prior to installation. (Fig 1, 1a)

1. Verify and ensure all Kit and HardwareContents are present and 2 bracket boxes.

NOTE: Due to the generic nature of thehardware kit some "extra" hardware may bepresent. Please save this hardware forreplacement of damaged or lost hardware onfuture installations.

2. Wear eye protection.

3. Ensure all application areas are free fromany dirt and debris that may damage the surface of the product or vehicle.

4. Separate and prepare the Bracket to VehicleHardware, M8 x 1.25 Black flange bolts.

B. Running Board Installation

1. Using a 12mm socket, remove & discard OEMHex bolts from all bracket positions. They willbe replaced with supplied hardware.

2. NOTE: For each side of the vehicle, thedifferent bracket goes toward the front. (Fig 2)

NOTE: Front Driver Side and Passenger Side Brackets are identical (ambidextrous). All referred instruction procedures represent instructions on one side of the vehicle.

3. Remove Rocker Panel Molding Protector. (a)Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 rocker panel molding protector.

3. Position the Brackets onto the sidewall & alignthe Bracket holes to the factory holes (Fig 3,3a).

4. Secure the Brackets using the suppliedBlack M8 x 1.25 bolts.

C. Repeat Steps B.1-4 for the opposite side of the vehicle.

1. IMPORTANT: Position the Board on thebrackets. The fastening bolts are all readypre-installed. Use supplied washers andnylock nuts to secure board to brackets. (Fig 4).

2. NOTE: Leave the Hardware loose at this time.

D. Torque sequence (Passenger/Driver Side).

IMPORTANT: Prior to final Torque sequence, ensure that the bracket is positioned flush on the vehicle sidewall. Position Board just behind fender flares as shown in (Fig 5).

1. Torque all twelve M8 1.25 Bolts (Bracket toVehicle) to 14nm (10ft/lbs).

2. Torque all twelve nylock nuts (Bracket toRunning Board) to 14nm (10ft/lb)

3. Re-Torque (Passenger/Driver side) after initialtorque has been set.

4. Re-Torque all twelve M8 1.25 bolts(Bracket to vehicle rocker) to 10 ft./lbs.

Torque: 10 ft./lbs

Accessory Function Checks Board alignment & tighten properly

Vehicle Function Checks

View alignment of Running Board

All bolts are tightened

No abnormal noise when weight is applied

Torque bolts to target:

M8 1.25 Bolts (Bracket to Vehicle) to 14nm (10ft/lbs). -/+25% 7.5 ~12.5 ft. lbs

Nylock nuts (Bracket to Running) Verify torque wrench is being used during installation.

Verify that there is no interference with front Fender Flair & Mud Flap

Note: Range is provided by QA

Step Board Torque Procedure

Front of Vehicle

1) Loosely install the bolts, and flat washers tothe factory- threaded hole.

2) Position the Step Board all the way inboard.

3) Scan identifiers in the following order. Visuallyconfirm correct entries in controller andflashing red light turns on.

a) VIN Numberb) Part Number

Note: If an incorrect barcode is scanned,complete the scan procedure then repeatuntil correct identifiers have been received.

4) Use Atlas Copco STB nutrunner shown inFIG 1 to torque fasteners.

5) Torque fasteners in order as shown in FIG 2.

6) Once job is complete verify on controller.
