has visions)• Helped the sick • Donated to charity• Participated in political events of her time• Had no formal education in her youth• Was declared a Saint in 1461(after she died)

Greek for joy and the name of an early Christian Saint

• Her father was a wool dyer• Her father went by two names: Giacomo and

Jacopomo• In one of her visions she married Christ
