Why is Good Posture Important?

• Helps us keep bones and joints in proper alignment

• Reduces the stress on ligaments*

• Allows muscles to work efficiently

• Helps prevent muscle strain and back pain

Tips for Sitting

• Put your low back against the backrest

• Keep your feet flat on the ground

• Keep your shoulders back

• Keep your knees pointing forward

ACTION Tip: Do not sit for longer than 30 minutes. Get up and move around!

Standing

• Hold your head up and chin in, look straight head (and smile big)

• Keep your shoulders back

• Keep your chest forward and knees straight

• Stand tall and stand proud!
