Your personal newsfeed is great for sharing your ideas in your
organization, especially among people who are following you. But
sometimes you may want to post things for a smaller and specific
audience. For that purpose, you can post to sites that have their
own newsfeed such as a team site where only people invited to the
site can participate. In this example, Im starting a project on
Gear Specs, and I want to share details about it only with team
members. So I start by creating a team site for this purpose I
click Sites to go to my Sites page, click New Site, enter a name in
the box, and click Create. After a few moments, my new team site
appears, and it has its own newsfeed right on the Home page. Now,
the first thing I want to do is share the site with team members. I
can click the Invite link if its there, or click Share at the top
of the page. Either option opens the Share window where I can
invite people to use the site. I fill out the Share dialog box with
the names of the people I want to invite to use the site, and I add
a quick message to tell them what its about. When I click share,
invitees get an email which includes my message with a link to the
site. Once people join the site, they can immediately share this
exclusive newsfeed. I can post to the newsfeed, as can people who
have access to the site. I can add other people to the site later
as needed. But most importantly, I know that our posts are limited
to the current set of team members.51234Course summaryHelp
