The Process and the Certification Requirements for Each LevelThe Process and the Certification Requirements for Each Level

Certification at the Master Level 4 includes:

Complete the Master Instructor Development Program (MIDP); designing, developing and

delivering a minimum of a 24- hour course that meets a demonstrated and POST approved training need

• The course the MICC student will develop will follow the proven ISD model of the present Master Instructor Course

• The candidate’s ISD and TTP will be evaluated by a panel of

qualified trainers prior to coursedelivery

• Master Instructor’s provide the cadre to deliver all POST IDI

training

• Equivalencies may be granted only for AICC/Entry Level Instructor Development. Certification at the Basic Level includes: • Complete a 40-hour POST Basic

Instructor Certification Program

• Validation of competencies in the classroom

• Triennial re-certification of the learned skills

Certification at the Intermediate Level includes:

• Complete the 24-hour Intermediate Instructional Skills Course

• Complete the 8-hour Presentation Skills and Tools Course

• Complete the 24-hour Instructional Technology Course

• Complete an 8-hour Critical Thinking Skills Course

POST IDI Level 2(Intermediate)

Certification at the Advanced Level includes:• Complete the 40-hour Advanced

Instructor Development Core Course with a 16-hour Teach Back

session (56-hrs total)

• Complete the 24-hour Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring Course

• Be mentored by an MIDP or MICC graduate
