POPULATION DISTRIBUTION

Land covers about 30% of the earth’s surface, not all of it is used by humans.

The most populated continent on earth is Asia with more than half of the world’s population on the continent.

Population Density is the average number of people living in a square mile or square kilometer.

It gives us an idea of how crowded a country or region is.

URBANIZATION

When people leave farms and villages to move to cities it is called Urbanization.

Most people move to a city with the goal of finding jobs.

Developed countries are industrialized.

Developing countries are working toward industrialization.
